Default JRSC on integra gsr question. did search

hi guys. i am considering getting a JRSC for my daily driven gsr after what happened to my retarded turbo install last week.

anyways, i had a few questions.

1-what is a good price for a new kit for a 2000 integra gsr (i searched but archives are down)

2-when using a hondata with the jrsc, will the kit still remain smog legal?

3-when using hondata s200 with boost, do i need to buy anything else besides a chipped p28 and a obd2-obd1 convertor to make it work on my 2000 gsr? (since i already have these item)
-also, do i still need to upgrade my stock injectors to maybe dsm 450's or is stock injectors just fine?

4-do people usually change their spark plugs to one degree colder just like for turbo?

any answers will help me out a lot. i have done countless hrs of research on turbo and am pretty clueless on supercharhers. i had a TRD SC on my 98 camry so im familiar with the eaton roots style SC, but i dont know much about it regarding the gsr. thanks guys

and again, i tried searching but the search function is giving very limited info. thanks

1) 2450

2) probably

3) umm.. ait sensor? upgrade injectors... 450s would suffice. 310s might be fine too

4) yes ngk #6097 is 2 steps colder or try bosch 4227 i used these on my SC setup and they worked fine

intercooled turbo is night and day difference over sc as far as power, and i dont know what lag is.

1)i paid 2300
2)don't know-i don't use it
3)i use stock injectors and am fiddling around with a p73 Type R ECU, so far so good!
4)u need a colder plug, the stock GSR is heat level 6...use a 7! You can use NGK BKR7E(copper) or BKR7E-VX(platinum)
A higher flow fuel pump is necessary!

as for now, i have a walbro 255hp fuel pump in my car left over from my turbo install. that should do. i also have ngk-bkr7e in (i think thats the model) but its one step colder for sure.

on a side note, is it safe to run one step colder spark plugs on a totally stock car? or should i just spend the extra 10 minutes swapping them out?

if i can get a full kit for $2350 or so shipped, i need a few months of being stock.

and this question is totally asking for FLAMING but what are some expected 1/4 mile times with the jrsc kit with regular boost settings and decent driver? (with hondata )

I think I have the Walbro"GS242" fuel pump. Those NGKs are good. The cold plug shud be ok in the stock engine. About the 1/4 mile? I personally have yet to do it. I will soon! I've read about low 14's or high 13's????

low 14's or high 13's is good enough for me.

also, do i need to upgrade my stock fpr? i have my hondata s200b still so i think it might be possible to have the tuner do it where it can use my stock fpr. he wrote me a good basemap for my turbo using the stock fpr so im hoping it would go for the jrsc too.

where can i find this kit for a good price? everywhere online i checked so far sells them for $2600+

if you're using hondata, then your stock FPR will be fine. the JR kit comes with an FMU, but i think you know by now to throw it in the garbage, along with the JR relay hack.

i just ordered my type R kit for $2600 shipped from http://www.velocityresources.com. keep in mind the type R kit costs more than the gsr. give them a call and see what they can give you for a price, unless someone else replies to this thread with a lower one. they give really good service though

thanks for the answers.

but i just realized after doing a bunch of research on the jrsc, that i need to slow down and get some basic info down..

i am very new to this kit so please bare with me.

1- ok, so when u get this kit brand new with no upgrades, how many lbs of boost does the gsr see? and roughly how much whp does this equal to?

2- also, when using a hondata s200b, will the boost level stay the same or will i be able to boost a few lbs more? if so, how many lbs is considered "moderate/low"?

if anyone has time, IM me with your aim and we can talk. its better than taking up bandwidth and probably irritating some people on this board
