Default JRSC detonation

the setup

1991 civic lx
D16z6
obd1
obd0 stock injectors
stock fuel pump
stock intake and exhaust
aftermarket header.
jr fmu and the air temp resistor
spark plugs gapped to around .32 i think

no other fuel management.

The car used to run fine and only detonate a little. a few weeks ago i used to be able to floor it through 4th gear without hearing any detonation. now whenever i get into boost in any gear but 1st for more than a couple seconds (usually in the upper rpm range, 4k+) it detonates. now right now i am completely broke so what im asking is what is the cheapest thing i could do to curb this problem. in a couple weeks ill probably be going with a wideband o2 sensor and uberdata.

No cheap solution...
.. you could get inline fule pump, but since going Uberdata soon... not worth it.
Keep yr foot of the gas pedal for some time 'till you tune it...

yeah if you need a cheap temporary solution, i would say disable it by tying the bypass valve open.

Stock pump with an FMU? I would hazard to guess that that is part of your problem. I doubt that pump is flowing enough fuel at the peak fuel pressures.

possible you just have some bad gas. I've had that problem. For me is was Shell gas... last time I'm ever using it. Cheap fix, retard timing or increase octane. The FMU is fine, upgrading the pump might be a good idea too.

so uberdata would still not fix this problem. id need a new fuel pump right? or would it be able to flow more at a lower pressure?
