Default JRSC bogging problem, HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hey guys i just installed my jacskon racing supercharger on my d16z6. took me a hwile to get it just right but for some reason my car boggs out some times. if i accelarate slowly its fine, but if i try to floor it, it boggs and the car doesnt want to go acclerate. im pretty sure i installed all the vacum and the coolent hose right. im just runing the jackson fmu with a stock p28 at stock boost. (like 6lbs i think). the only thing i could think of is injectors (runing stock injectors), wat else could it be? Can someone help me. Oh by the way if its in neutral the car revs up fine, only boggs when its in gear. someone help please.

i just installed mine on a gsr and it does the same thing, I replaced the fuel pump and it stopped for a while, but started again shortly after. You might want to go with some colder plugs, take out your old spark plugs and look at them.

Sounds like your MAP sensor is not seeing the boost your engine is seeing. Make sure your MAP sensor vac line source is after the supercharger not before.

if he is running the stock setup he doesnt want the map sensor to see boost. it goes before the S/C on the d series JRSC setups. Its when you run Turbo edit crome or whatever you make it see boost.

No thats incorrect because the stock JRSC setup comes with a JR EMS piggy back that will trick the ECU into not seeing the boost, it also has timing retard ability. The JR instructions say to hook the map sensor up to the base of the supercharger so it sees boost. If hes using the JR engine management then the MAP needs to see boost or it will cause exactly the same symptoms hes describing.

I don't think that's on the d16z6 kit, that's on the newer kits. He's just got the FMU for fuel and pulling 6 degrees of timing across the board.

Mine bogged too before I got the timing back to where it should be. Once I got it wound up it worked fine, but at low RPM it sucked. The JR MAP controller fixes it up pretty good, makes the car run better too. The JR BTM + the JR MAP controller will let you restore full timing and it should run like stock.

my Stock setup did not come with the JR engine managment i think that on the newer DOHC setups not the d series. I was able to adjust the timing back to stock timing with 93 octane gas with no detonation and with just the fmu. But I would invest in crome uberdata or something like that to get the best drivability.

alright so ive been tweeking with this thing, still nothing. its drivable for the most part. the freeway drive is perfect and pulls hard if i down shift on the freeway and gun it. however from 2k to 3k rpm it keeps bogging out if i try to accelerate. if i accelerate very gradually its fine and doesnt bogg out. but if i shift and press too much down on the pedel it starts to bog. also i hear like a lil whistling sound when it bogs, sounds like the fuel lines squeezing or soemthing to try and get fuel. but after 3k it runs fine. wat could be the problem with it, FMU? Injectors or the fact im runing a stock p28? any more ideas guys

I had a somewhat similar problem when I installed my GSR kit. I didn't get the hose between the bypass and the supercharger lined up right and it was causing a rediculous vacum leak, which caused all kinds of problems. Just something to check.

hm.. thanks for the advice. But i recently, tried new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, and new distrubuter cap. i tried swaping out injectors for stock gsr ones. the car pulls really really hard top end but still bogging severely at normal driving. seems like im geting too much fuel??

is ur map sensor seeing boost??

I just had a problem very similar today,
basically i was driving along, and whenever I'd try to gun it, the car would just bog to ****, I could drive along at partial throttle just fine, but full throttle or hard accel. just bogged.

I popped my hood, and found the vacc hose running to my map sensor had fallen off.
For me this is bad cuz my map NEEDS to see boost(i'm tuned runing crome and 450cc injectors).

So I duno if that helps or not, just some info to help u think
