JRSC & Cams
I just purchased a JRSC last night after frustration with trying to go all motor. I have skunk 2 stage 2 cams and I was wondering if I should take these out now that I am going to be supercharged? I was just curious if anyone who has a JRSC has bigger cams as well? I was also wondering if there is another component that I need to buy for boost if I already have a hondata s200 and 440cc injectors. I only plan on running 6psi. I had searched and found a few people who have upgraded their fuel pumps, is this worth it? Sorry for all of the questions.

I tried it with some NA cams and lost a lot of power. JRSC's don't like a lot of overlap like NA cams have. The generally accepted best cam setup for a JRSC is a GSR intake cam and an ITR exhaust cam.

I am guessing B series VTEC cams are not going to do great in a BB6 Prelude LOL. But for real....lose the N/A cams...it has een proven time and time again that N/A cams do not like JRSC setups. Is your Hondata setup one that is setup to be ran with boost?

Re: JRSC & Cams (PickleTeg)
it is an H22. Yeah I still have the stock cams luckily. Should I leave the titanium valve springs and retainers in there because I don't think that I have the stock ones of those anymore. I don't beleive that my S200 is set-up for boost because I originally had no plan of boosting it. How much is it to add it? One more dumb question, does the JRSC come with any electronic equipment?, because I am buying it used. thanks

If you're running Hondata you don't need any electrical for the blower, your just using it for forced air. You'll need to add the boost option to your hondata, it's not much, and theres alot of tuners nowadays to do it for you.
Leave your valvetrain alone, other than putting your stock cams back in. You'll have a little insurance with your upgraded springs and retainers.
Have fun with your blower, h22's run good with boost

thanks, Do you think that the 440cc injectors are big enough?

I'm almost sure the 440's are fine with the H22 (but I'm not too sure). I'd upgrade the fuel pump just in case, as well - it'll give you a jumping off point for upgrading the boost, if you go that direction.
I'm still running the stock FMU - can't wait until I get the $$$ for the s300 and a good tune.

440's are good up until about 280hp, so you should be fine. I always recommend to go bigger, so you have room to grow. You can always tune it to idle, and drive normal. I ran 880cc in my jrsc gsr.
For any turbo guy that says 440's will support over 300whp, jrsc's use more fuel, and generally need bigger injectors.

Re: JRSC & Cams (rmcdaniels)
I was asking about the 440 cc's because they are already on my car and it would save me some money. I am only looking to run about 6 psi with my intake hytech header, 2.5" exhaust, and s200. It looke like the average H22 maked about 240-250whp. so should I upgrade the injectors still and/or fuel pump? and if so what brand would you guys recomend? thanks

Dumb question but what does lph stand for? and what brand would you buy? Walbro comes to mind.

Re: (96vtecI4)
cool thanks, I heard that installing the fuel pumps is pretty straight forward so I think I'll give that a shot. I'm kind of leading to another topic here but what kind of drop in MPG did you guys experience once installing the charger?
