JE Piston ring end gap?
The end gaps are going to be different for the top and bottom rings. Your pistons should have come with a spec sheet or call JE for the end gap settings. For moderate street boost, it'll probably be around .005" per inch of bore.

What kind of oil consumption issues do you have with these gaps? I set both of mine at 18 thousandths, and I consume a fair amount of oil

I'll be boosting around 15 lbs. Yeah I got the paper, I just wanted to cross check with you guys to see if there was a "better" fit. Also, where the hell do you get a ring file tool? Or is it ok to go at em with a regular file? This is my first set of rings that actually say its ok to file.
I already got my rings, they were reccomended to me. The rings are made by the same company that makes the JE pistons but JE doesnt want to switch to this particualr set of rings. Who knows, maybe they dont need to be filed, i'm to lazy to check the gap right now, hehe.
