JB Weld
Do you think this is good stuff for intercoolers? On my starion I/C I had a small hole in one of the flat pieces that go from tank to tank. I put the JB weld to fill it and it seems to have dont the trick. Although I havent put my turbo kit in so I cant test it. I also need to have the piping placement moved to the sides of the end tanks as opposed to stock location on the top.
Do you guys think I can JB weld the new pipes into the sides of it? And also JB weld the blocker plates to cover where I cut the factory pipes at. This **** is pretty stong and says can hold something like 1437 psi or something like that. I dont see how the measly 6-12 psi I will run through it will leak or blow out of it.
All of this because of the budget kit im doing. I plan on upgrading in the future though.........

Hey .. it's Manny! Pritos is the guy with the JB Welded BOV flange I was referring to!
I got a 66 Dodge Dart way back when that I swapped a 360 SB into. I had to drive it for several months while I was doing all the work while it still had the 225 slant 6 in it. The sixer had a monster crack along one of the coolant tunnels, and I JB Welded that sucker too. It took almost two packs of it, but it held strong for months until I swapped the engine!

Thanks for everyones responses. Now for another question. In regards to the metal i will use for the piping and plates on the IC. Since im not welding it, just basically "glueing" it, then the JB weld wont care that i am using 2 differnt metals will it?
Seems like a stupid question, but I dont want any problems. ****, if I can do all this, then theres no need for anykind of welding--except the downpipe. This means I can save a little more money, woo hoo!!

Even though I do not agree with some of the applications you have found for JB I will let you in on a product that is even better - its called "Cold Weld" package is the same but all black background, it is much stronger when dry than JB, costs the same.
When I had my Ranger, before I bought my teg, I tor the interior all up for my stereo. It was really stupid of me. Anyways, I used like 7 packages of JB Quick and 3 packs of JB Weld to put it all back together!!!! Anyways, it worked great! Then on my teg, my friend gave me a striped out B & M shift ****, so I JB welded it to my shift lever, let me tell you, I think Im going to have to cut my shift lever in half to get the **** off when I put a short shift in! JB Weld Works great!!!!!!
