jackson racing supercharger
I am looking into getting a jrsc, but i have a few questions so here goes.
1. what will i need to make it reliable for a daily driver?
2. do i have to run hondata to make it run right or can i drive on it for a little while with out it?
3. what do you guys think of them?
4. is it worth it?
Again thanks for all the input..

1. Fuel and Tuning
2. No you dont need Hondata, it can be done if installed and tuned properly (ignition and plug related)
3. I think they are worthless.

For a daily driven reliable car that you want an extra 50-100 hp they are great.
The Hondata will allow you to make the most power with the best reliability. You can easily run 10 psi on a stock engine properly tuned and make up to about 100hp extra.
Many people will tell you they suck and that you should just get a turbo, but that is their opinion. It really all depends on what your goals and driving habits are. I personally miss my boost and my car.

Re: jackson racing supercharger (Spunkster)
if you plan on buying a new kit from jackson racing, it looks like they all include hondata as i recently found out. so it may not even be an option unless you are getting an old kit from somewhere else:

Re: jackson racing supercharger (keebler65)
was it worth it... for me yes.. fun to drive. pretty damn fast too.
would i do it again.. yes
but my goals might soon be more than a jrsc can supply.. 300+whp. so i may go turbo in a year or so.
for a brand new kit.. thats a lot.. but it does include hondata ecu, and injectors.
i got mine for a great deal.. i don't think 3500 is a deal though
