Re: Jackson Racing Detonation (who00knows)
I would guess that the JRSC is causing it.

Re: Jackson Racing Detonation (who00knows)
Dustin always being helpful...
Timing should be set at about 8-10 degrees with 92 octane. I'm running at 16 degrees (stock) and 91 octane... I never had any detonation until recently (bad tank of gas). my fuel pressure is leaned out slightly from JR's setting, also and pinging at high rpms only started recently. So either the fuel I have been getting is increasingly lower in quality or I have something wrong with my car... not related to the JRSC.

Well, if you don't want to buy anything, then it would be difficult to correct your problem. Because at the very leaset, you will need a fuel pressure gauge to know what's going on...

At the very least, buy a freaking fuel guage and an EGT guage. Honda's don't like boost unless they're tuned properly. You can't tune it properly unless you know what's going on inside the motor. Anyone with a wideband O2 monitor will be able to set the car up, but it's up to you to keep the car in tune. Without the proper tools, you're working blind.

Re: Jackson Racing Detonation (who00knows)
well i suggest you call up jackson racing and ask what the proper settings for the fuel pressure and timing are and at the very least set the timing. (if the previous owner didnt have a fuel guage he/she probably did not mess with the settings)
