internal wastgate boost adj. question
To lower boost, do I shorten or lengthen the wastgate actuator arm. It is set at 7psi and I want to go down to 4-5psi until I get a intercooler. I don’t have a boost gage right and I am having problems with detonation.
at least get a boost gauge and hook it up. i'm not a fan of adjusting internal wg arms to alter boost but even if u have to you wont be able to tell the difference at that low boost and you wont know where you are.
This is what I did on my old set up. It's adjustable so you can shorten/lengthen it till you're happy. One major drawback though, when you lengthen it, it leaves the wastegate open all the time so you have a lot of lag. Yes...I had lag on a t25

Exactly. I didn't build full boost till about 4k.

Also if the springin the wastegate is shitty it will be had to biuld ovr a certian amount of boost. Like m sr20 wont hold over 10psi no matter what i do. The boost just drops right off, after initial spike
