Default internal wastegate clearance

i have an internally gated turbo and the wastegate hits my rad by about a half inch. only options im thinking is to switch to an external wastegate or go to a half rad which id rather not do, or possibly switch to a new manifold that would be angled and closer to the block so that i could clear my existing wastegate. anyone have any other ideas or kno where i can find a manifold where the mounting flange for the turbo is angled up as oposed to parallel with the ground. wastegate isnt on in this pic caz it wont fit but none the less it doesnt clear. also thought of turning turbo other way and still wont clear..

Can you mount the wastegate in a different spot? While stil giving the actuator arm the same amount of tension approx? I had to move mine and just made a new bracket to bolt to different bolts along the turbo.

you must mean the actuator. Sometimes you can lengthen the actuator rod and tuck the can part behind the compressor cover (dort of like on DSM setups) that will give you about 1/2-7/8"

where the wastegates mounted is the only place it can be due to where the actuator runs to always has to be the same, unless i rig up some type of bend in the actuator without damaging the diaphram it goes to. last minute problems blow

if you think inside the box you will not get anywhere. Think about how the WG works, look at other actuator setups. You can move it, as long as it has a reasonable angle on the flapper arm. I have done quite a few actuator relocations and they all work perfectly. See if you can find a smaller actuator can maybe?
