Intercooler suggestions for B16 turbo track car
Hey all, would appreciate opinions from the more experienced folks. I need to get an intercooler for my track car.
It's a B16 that'll be roughly 380-400 whp. I'm using a Garrett 57 trim 63 AR turbo (~50 lb/min) and 2.5 intercooler piping.
After going through many many pages of the "let's talk intercoolers" thread I think a treadstone TR8 is about the right fit for my application. 2.5 inlet / outlet, it'll fit in the front without issue and it's rated at 750 cfm which is higher than my turbo can go. It's a bar / plate type IC and it's definitely in my budget at ~280 bucks.
If this is the wrong size for my setup or there are better options below my 350 dollar budget please help me out.

I learned a bunch from yer post grumble sarcasm
I guess I'm just concerned more about if the tr8 is actually a "500 hp" intercooler. It seemed like some people in the other thread "maxed out" the Intercooler before they hit what it is rated for.
Just wanted to know if anyone with about 400 hp uses a treadstone or tracks with a boosted car that has seen any benefit to getting a slightly bigger intercooler.

Edited *Plz let this thread die or delete it mods*
Ok, thanks. It's not necessary to go bigger. Looks like I skimmed too fast through that thread found exactly what I needed to know.
I think I may have done some math wrong too. 50 lb /min is right about 620 cfm correct?
50 lb/min x .0807 = 620 cfm
