you dont need the biggest intercooler you can find......

here is my street car build from last year. it had an intercooler that mesured 17 end tank to end tank/ 11 tall. (spearco core)

~450hp /315 torque on pumpgas, through a 2.5inch exhuast.

I'm using the 350 hp Precision intercooler. It's almost 2 inches shorter (height wise) and barely fits. If you cut the bumper support you can fit the 600 hp version. I didn't want to cut it... I'm making 267 on a Mustang dyno...

Yeah I dont want to cut out the bumper support. I want to only cut out the grill in front.

What do you mean by barely fits. Are you talking about the width of it. Or the height.

If im sure the precision 350hp intercooler is 26 1/2 x 6.20x 3.5

I'm talking about the height. I had to cut my grill out too, but I don't care about that. I wouldn't want the intercooler hanging any lower than it already does.

26.75L x 6.20H x 3.50D-2.5" I/O---->350hp
31.50L x 8.00H x 3.50D-2.75" I/O--->600hp
31.50L x 10.30H x 3.50D-2.75" I/O-->750hp
34.50L x 10.50H x 3.50D-2.75" I/O-->825hp

--These are Precision Intercooler Sizes with what hp they rate them...Common Intercoolers range anywhere from 8"-10" in height...If your trying to fill a cut out mouth, a 6" wont look right.

You might have to trim out the bumper alittle bit but other than that, they fit pretty good

When you say trim out the bumper. Are you talking about the plastic grill part. Or the core support frame.

Thats all im confused on.

If its only the plastic grill part then im going to buy one of these next week.

If your looking to keep bumper support, then the 26.75L x 6.20H x 3.50D-2.5" I/O---->350hp is the only Precision Intercooler that will fit without hanging to low.

Now should I invest on buying a front lip kit. Because of the intercooler hanging low. Also for the thickness of the intercooler. How much room does most you guys have.

Yesterday I measured 6inchs from the radiator to the plastic grill on the bumper cover.

Will I have enough space between the radiator and the grill

I want to just trim the grill. Not fully cut it out.

There is plenty of room thickness wise...If it hangs down to low, then get a lip kit

You can also notch your bumper support so that 8" Cores don't sit too low. Takes a few minutes with a cut off wheel
