Has anyone made thier own IC piping and still remember the price. I went to Burnsstainless.com. Rough estimate...that I would need 4 90degree bends, 2 45degree bends, and about 5-6 feet of straight pieces. This is all 6061-AL. Total price is around 280.00 Geessh...then I still have to weld it up..

Debating on it....I will weld the mild steel....but if I want it to look clean...I aint gonna weld the AL.

 

i paid like 200 for all my piping including the DP that is just made out of steel.

 

that is like way to much, find some steel srevice center in your town to help you out, dont use 90 or 45 degree tube use only U-bends (180) all the angles are in there. You should be able to get all you need from a good source for under USD 150 for stainless steel. Or even go mild steel which is even cheaper and anyone can weld it. SS and Aluminum are very difficult to weld compared to Mild Carbon steel.

 

I used mild steel from JC whitney, IC piping came out to be about $70.

 

TIG weld that ****... it will be clean.
