Default intercooler mounting options

heya folks

its getting to be install time, and well, i don't know how to mount my damn FM intercooler.

I talked to a buddy of mine who welds, and basically he told me he can't help because its aluminum. I'd like something a little better than a JB weld job, so I'm looking for some ideas... pics.... details and so on if you got 'em.

thanks

There should be some sort of bracket comming off of the intercooler, tabs most likely.

Basically make some brackets to attach it to the bumper or frame.

If you are talking about the intercooler not having any brackets you need to take it to someone who can weld aluminum, and weld them to the endtanks.

my current intercooler came with little side posts for a bolt to go in and the add a bracket. I didn't really trust that. I had a welder add two tabs to the bottom and on in the center of the top. Find someone that can weld aluminum and then just drill holes and have fun.

i took mine to tony1, he welded a plate on each ends of my intercooler. We are going to drill two holes in each plates, and two holes on each side of bumper support. It will be supported by 4 bolts

my I/C on my 98 civic actually sits on the bottom of the radiator support, so I only needed 2 screws in the bumper support to keep it there.
