Default Intercooler Mounting???

I've been looking around for a FMIC for my teg and I came across this one with "mounting tabs" and I was wondering if I just drill a short bolt into these and connect with an L-bracket or something. Please let me know.

LOTS of duck tape and velcro. jk. I was looking at that exact intercooler. I think your supposed to drill and tap those mounting locations and then use L brackets. anyway yeah what you said.

that looks like a thick piece of metal to drill into, from the looks id just weld the L brackets onto those tabs

It's the best solution anyways.

I popped holes in the bottom of the bumper support with a torch and then welded nuts in the holes on the bumper support got some bolts and bolted the cooler right up..

thats what i did! accept i drilled holes.. i used nuts similar to the ones pictured.

I drilled a hole big enough for the 'nut' part and tack welded the washer part to the unibody.

grabbed some L shaped aluminum from the hardware store and made some brakets. I just scribbed where i wanted them and brought the IC and brakets to a shop to tig weld them on. looks clean and works great.
