Intercooler Hydrolocked???
I have been reading alot about Cold Air Intakes suckin up water and hydrolocking the engine. Then, last night, i was with a couple of friends and this one kid i didnt know what bragging about his car. VW with a Front Mount Intercooler, upgraded turbo etc. Then someone challenged him to a race for 20 bucks, Integra w/ 50 shot. He got all weird (no onw ever seen him driving his car) and said that he sucked up some water. He clammed (because he doesnt have CAI) that he sucked it up through his FMI. Is this possible? Can you hydrolock your engine from sucking up water through a FMI.
For the record, i know absolutly nothing about Forced Induction.
Thanks FI Guys

no you cant. air enters through one end and exits out the other (like a radiator), if you have air entering anywhere else you have a problem.
An intercooler is just like a radiator, but for air. both are heat exchangers.

I was guessing, since air passes through the IC, that its possible, oh **** it, i dont know
Edit: Thanks, so the guy was bullshiting about it, huh? what a ******
