intercooler sucking up water
My friend says that intercoolers can suck up water and hydro lock an engine like a cold air intake. i don't believe it because i've seen srt-4's driving in heavy downpours in the summertime, unless they have some sort of bypass. Anyway anybody have any bad experiences with sucking up water from there intercooler? Or know of any truth to this

no you cant suck up water through the intercoller unless it got a leak or crack in it...an intercooler is like a radiator...

can somone explian the physics behind this, IF an intercooler is like a radiator, since is is flowing COmpressed air, then the tank is sealed correct? and the core is nothing more than just increased surface area for effective cooling?
