intercooler
I think I read somewhere a while back, if you don't do it right or use the right type of paint your can decrease its efficiecy.
I'd wait to some more ppl jump in but thats just what I remember. Anodizings works great though.

yes i remember reading a post too and as far as i remember painting it or anodizing it would affect performance but not by a large amount, but its the best way to keep your car looking like a sleeper
if you want the best sleeper effect and the best cooling capabilities, go water to air ic. nobody will see an intercooler. even when you pop the hood, i bet over half the fools out there dont know what it is. you can just say its your intake box. ahah

great idea! anodize a water to air ic so it looks like a stock intake!
haha!

The majority of the intercooler surface area is through the core, the thickness of it. The front face of the IC accounts for very little surface area therefore has little effect on heat transfer abilities.
you can paint anything any color. In this case, the paint will reduce the cooling factor of the aluminum, which will increse IAT. The best way is to anodize it, but thats expensive. You can just put some black screen over it, or lightly spray it with some black paint. Sleeper=
