i am wondering if using the NX intercoller kit will work with my intercooler painted black. in other words will it affect the paint? i lightly coated the front with black engine spray paint.

It shouldn't.

However, you also shouldn't paint your intercooler. Insulation is bad.

you're dumb... Cooling takes place between the bars where the fins are located, so long as you don't dip your i/c in paint, which would cause paint to be in between the bars, and just do a few light coats on the face of it, cooling is not affect it at all.

actually he was correct. The paint works like an insulation. It shouldnt make a difference on the intercooler, but think about it. Have you ever felt the heat off of an idling car that has a factory powdercoated valve cover compared to a bare valve cover? There is noticable difference in heat levels.

But you were also correct as it shouldnt make a difference on the intercooler. Seeing as there is very little paint. Besides, im a fan of black intercoolers! Very Stealthy!!!
