lol wow u gonna hate on me bcuz of that its suppose to be funny I aint no backyard mechanic and i never said I know everything im just tring 2 be realistic and voice my experience with both and both gsr motors was built in a shop by a pro I built the 4g63 so there u go

And why are you triing to discredit me over a tag and assuming people that do work on there cars in there yards or garage dont know ****

all im triing to say is that i feel more confident in the gsx than the gsr, the b series are great motors or else i wouldnt be driving one

an auto tranny in the gsx would be more reliable because you wouldn't be dropping the clutch and breaking stuff... i think it really comes down to how you drive and if your not rough on a car as far as launching then the dsm and the ls are as reliable. so its really whatever your preference is yours.

Lol u made me laugh twice. BWAAAAAAAAAH!!!!
But my friend has a 1st gen gsx and its fast but then again he only drives it like 300 miles a year. And he runs 8.1 in the 8th mile on street tires. And he admits that there's a lot of engines that crank walk. And besides put some slicks on and ur just as fast.

BLA BLA BLA... My STOCK ls turbo with a lil 57 trim ran hi 11s all day with OVER 200k on it!!!! ANY DSM doesn't make it near 100k. CRANK WALK ALL DAY!!!!

Bottom line is YES both cars can be quick!!! Ok a STREET TIRE GSX will get out a lil, but Ill be damn if it don't run like **** in 3rd!! Honda gonna pull right past that thing half track.

Either way, if you BUILD it the RIGHT way it SHOULD run right. With a GSX or GST, your gonna need a bigger turbo to play with hondas...PERIOD. Those lil tiny snails can't get past themselves, which is why they die on top end, even with MAX boost. You will need a bigger turbo.

First off zero clearance motors are great for your wallet....I ran a gsx and so did a lot of my friends being as AMS is right down the road it was easy to get hooked into dsms they are a great power plant no doubt but your gonna spend a lot of money on them t cases aren't that strong the trans are junk unless you buck up and spend the money on a shep trans if I had a nickle for every head that we have gone through due to timing issues and breaking timing belts or skipping timing. I've got buddies running tens on stock blocks however there building there transmissions about once a month....they should just buy a shep but when your rebuilding it yourself I guess you save money. I've been running a 10 sec honda now for the 3 years and yes its just a track car but I have yeat to break it. and the money I put into a dsm if I put that into a honda I would be running a lot faster than a ten. that's my two cents

it all depends on what you want! races are hardly from a dig anymore and the extra drivetrain loss kinda sucks up top.

dont listen to these honda fanboys... every motor has a chance of crankwalk and whenever something goes wrong in a dsm its automatically "OMG CRANKWALK!!@!%#2"

fact is that only a couple years of the 2g (I think the first few) had issues with crankwalk. Out of those 2 years, there was less than 7% chance that crankwalk would occur! it would also happen within the first 80,000 miles too.

And the idiot that said dsms only last 100,000 miles... you are retarded. Yes I've seen some only last 100k miles, but I've also seen hondas only last 100k as well... I have also seen dsms with stock powerplant over 250k. That is pure awesomeness for a boosted motor!

I'm an all around import guy and I must say that the sirius motors, most specifically the 4g63, are some of the best engineered motors in existance. If it wasn't for 14 year old kids beating on them all day long maybe they would gain some respect.

ive worked in several junkyard over the years and do you have any idea how much more mitsubishis are scrapped cause of motor malfunction than hondas?? better yet do you have any idea how many more eclipses there are compared to civics, integras, accords, gayludes, and even legends!

yes the gsx/t can be made fast and yes it has the awd capability over the hondas
yes you can make both reliable and both can take a beating but you go broke in the process (unless your filthy rich of course i know i aint)

but no a STOCK 4g63 turbo or naturally aspirated will never handle the same beating that a honda d, b, h, or maybe even the k series engines
