which intake manifold is best for 20psi
im tryin to determine on which intake mani to get for my b18c1 when it comes in. i plan on runnin a greddy turbo (say at 20psi) so the stock gsr mani has to go. im wantin to go with either edelbroch, venom, or skunk 2. which would be best for my set up.
and what is the highest boost you can push threw the b18c1 without blowing the bottom end out.
im ordering,
aem fuel rail\ fuel pressure reg.
not shure on injector ( could use some help on them to )

Re: which intake manifold is best for 20psi (DIY16KID)
It depends on which Greddy turbo it is. If its a 15g, it will run out of breath at 20psi on even a sohc before the intake mani becomes a problem. If its an 18G, thats a different matter. The biggest problem is that 98% of the boosted cars on HT are stuck at, or I mean run 10psi or less, and the bandwagon says upgrading to a larger turbo first is WAY better than upgrading to a larger capacity MAP & upping the boost.
Honestly though, I'd stick with the stock GSR mani unless it was solely a drag track car. You also don't need to upgrade the fuel rail till 400whp unless you somehow encounter issues. You'd be better off selling your current turbo, saving more money by not buying the listed parts (besides injectors), then upgrading to a better unit like a GT2871r and hitting about 400whp. For injectors, take your whp goal, divide it by 0.6, then thats the size of injectors you'll want (gets you to ~80-90% duty cycle).
