installing dsm injectors with obd2 plugs .. just take out the blue center piece?
whats up guys. I just got my 450 dsm blacktop injectors in the mail. I have a 97 coupe and have obd2 injectors. I remember seeing a writeup a while ago that showed how to install the dsm injectors using the obd2 plugs. I'm pretty sure all they did was cut the tab on the dsm injector, then took out the blue piece in the obd2 plug.
Does anyone have a link to this writeup?
if not, can that be done? becasue i really do not want to wire all new plugs

I believe you can do that but your still going to have to run a resistor box or wire up some resistors inline with the injectors

i know i need to run resistors or a resistor box, but will my plugs definately work if i take out that blue centerpiece and cut a tab off of the dsm injector

i dont want to take out the blue piece and then have a chance of it not going back in, then i would be screwed.

Re: (pjr710)
I know they fit onto OBDI injectors if you cut out the tab on the inside of the injector... it is pretty obvious where the little tab is, just use a razor blade/xacto to cut it out.
For the OBDII, I think the clip is different... I don't remember.
For the resistor box install, I posted up in another thread recently "Resistor box install" and gave my layout... and honestly, it makes it easy to revert... no need to cut wires or unplug the resistor box even, just unplug the dummy plug, and plug in the dummy plug with the pins for the injectors cut-out. Pretty clean, simple, and carefree... plus I can unplug and replace the resistor box if needed... without cuting wires again... I just cut the engine-side connector off with the resistor box so I had it.
