Installing ARP Head Studs. Write Up? How To? D16A6
Hey guys
Just looking for some info on how to install my ARP head studs into my D16a6
Just wonderring if theres any special info and just generally how to do it
I know with my motor ones bolt is longer and Ive guess Ive got to find which hole that is

Get a Haynes or Helms manual for the general install.
Specific to ARP headstuds, it's 1.) hand-tight on the block with allen wrench, then 2.) 20 ft./lbs tq, 3.) 40 ft./lbs. tq, 4.) 65 ft./lbs. tq, then again for good measure.
Use the ARP lube, not oil. Don't go over 70 ft./lbs, because ARP recommends 52ft/lbs.!
Copper spray for the HG too

Im assuming I use the double nut teqnique to get them on?
From inside to outside, outside to inside, criss cross
matter?

I guess the ones for the d16 must be different than the ones I am going to use in my f22.
Their instructions say to torque the ones I have to 80 ft. lbs. with arp moly assembly lube.

My headstuds had an allen recess on the top.

I am subscribed for a good answer to this myself and a place to buy it since I need to get my head resurfaced and with a new headgasket running $60, I would rather see if I can use a copper spray.
