Default Installed Wideband...Getting Rid of O2 Heater Code?

I am running my wideband fulltime in my car now, and just have the stock O2 sensor plug hanging and the ECU's O2 sensor signal coming from the narrowband output on the wideband box. I believe the wideband sensor is heated through the box's wiring harness, but my ECU is throwin a code now due to there not being a sensor to heat anymore.

What can I do to get rid of this code?

what management? in uberdata you can turn off heated O2 I believe. Not sure about others.

If that doesn't work, you may be able to simulate it. Do a search in o2 simulator or simulation

I'm using my stock P13 in my H22 Prelude, w/ the Zeitronix wideband replacing the stock O2 sensor.

Solder a 1k ohm resistor in series with the heater circuit. Chop the plug off of an old oxygen sensor and put the resistor on that part.

So join the heater + and - wires w/ a 1k resistor? Seems easy enough!

Sure enough. There are more details on the Hondata site under the wideband section.

I tried the 1k ohm resistor trick over the two black wires of the heater circuit. It did not work in my case. I tried all kinds of different resistors. I found the impedence over the heater was 15 ohms. I got it to work with a 15 ohm resitor, but I had a hard time getting a high wattage 15 ohm resistor, so I just used a dead O2 as the heater and strapped that bitch under my car. Works fine as you can imagine. Maybe the 1k resistor did not work because I am OBD2? Who knows. Just putting my experience on the table for you.
