Default inspection coming up

looking for some experience.

i've got inspection coming up, and i'm trying to figure out a plan of action. im in nj.

2001 gsr....obd1 conversion harness running neptune.

i was at my friend's place yesterday, and was going through the inspection system with him on the computer in the shop. seems as if it is user selectable to either run a sniffer or the diagnostic port hook up. now he says, naturally if he just runs a sniffer on an obd2 car the state is going to inquire why there was no diagnostics done etc.

my question is this: what exactly will happen if he attempts to hook up to the port while i still have the p28 in?

i really would like to stay away from throwing in the old ecu and having to swap the injector clips.

any advice would be super helpful.

thanks

it just "wont connect" with the obd1 ecu in there. since i live in maryland, and its impossible to pass inspection....im going to have to say im upset that you are complaining about swapping injectors and injector clips in md we have to go as far as R&R'ing turbo kits, engines, suspensions, etc. MD SUCKS

Yep, The machine says, "Can't connect". I just had the same problem here in DE w/ my 99' 4dr. I had to swap back to the obd2b ecu. It sucked and the car barely passed (check engine light came back on literally 10ft. after driving out of the inspectiojn lane). Good luck.

Phil

edit: why would you have to swap injector clips?
