Input wanted on soon to be built motor
I have been doing quite a bit of research on a build i would like to start. Iam very new to the Honda scene as i've played with mostly muscle, but there is something that really amazes me about little engines making so much power I wold like some input from you guys on what i may be for getting or what i could do better. I know that i don't know everything so this is why i am making this post. I will post all the part numbers so you can look up the parts yourself.
First things first i would like to build a boosted b20vtec, I know I know the cylinder walls are weak. ideally i would like 800-900hp capable car but realistically 600-700hp.
THE BOTTOM END
Dart B20 block 31496702
JE pistons 302410 with the included rings JG1004-3307
Brian crower rods BC6029 (not sure if these will work with the b16 head)
Honda OEM type R Oil pump (itr)
ive been going back and fourth between acl bearing and clevite.
moroso oil pan 5QT 20901
eagle crank 1834331772
ati under drive crank pulley 918471
HEAD
Ported and polished head, new valve guides and seals
skunk 2
cams 305-05-0150
valves 310-05-1320
intake 307-05-9000
adjustable cam gears 304-05-5202
alpha valve springs 344-05-1300
fuel rail(x2) 350-05-5000
arp head studs 208-4306
primary injectors precision 525cc SCIO525
secondary injectors precision 1200cc SCIO1200
My idea with the head is making sure that everything will work together in harmony, I'm thinking that the 525cc injectors would allow me to drive this without just dumping fuel, but when i need the fuel its there via 1200cc secondary injectors.
Misc
Gates timing belt
zerg industries B20 swap kit
amsoil full synthetic
oem honda cam/ crank seals.
I haven't even though about turbos, manifolds, waste gates, or inter coolers, I Would like feed back about that as i know very little on those things. I would really appreciate input from yall. Also i would like to know break-in methods and tolerances that are used
At the moment this is all that i can recall, i have some other notes that are on paper somewhere. By no means am i prefect and im sure that i am missing things and there is probably a few post similar to mine. I want a quality build so at this point in time i am more worried about the quality of parts ( or best bang for the buck) than the price. Price does play a part, i dont want to get bent over backwards.
Please feel free to add your input.
