Inlinefour Head Gasket, Does it really lower the compression of b18c1 dramatically? Does anybody here have any experiance with it? Is it a long lasting gasket, and does it hold up against a 15 lbs of boost set up?
yes it does drop it quite a bit. i.e. HKS decompression gasket(2.6mm or 3mm not sure) puts a b16a around 9:1, perhaps lower i think.
inlinepro sells a headgasket for the b18c1. puts it at around 9.2:1. works very well. i'm using one on my 10 second street car. definatly holds over 450 horsepower to the wheels.

Like Jinxproof sead inlinepro sells one thats 2.7mm thick and lt works, I'm also using one on my gsr with all stock internals pushing almost 14psi..
I think jinxproof had his running 22psi at the track with all stock internals and race gas....
Inlinepro is the shhhhhiet!!!
Great products..

is there a big difference in realiability when lets say, i run 7-8lbs w/ inlinepro gasket and w/o? thanx
ur compression will be lower so u will be able to run higher boost
and I believe someone is underestimating the power of a headgaske, stock pistons are fine.

where can i get his head gasket i really wanna drop my compression down alot b/c im have about 12:3 piston in my car rite now and i wanna go turbo soon but i dont feel like buying some more piston..
how much, should i expect to pay for a gasket, arp studs, plus labor?
Arp Headstuds: $120 shipped
Timing Belt: $75 at the dealer
Waterpump: $65 at the dealer
Labor: $500 maybe more and maybe less
The reason I listed the waterpump and timing belt is because if you are doing all of that work already you might as well replace them as preventative maintenance and not have to worry about them later on down the road....

can someone give me the breakdown on how compression works? i don't quite understand it. and just gasket and labor runs that much? isn't it better then to just save up and wait for a rebuild with strong aftermarket parts?
no, ur stock pistons are fine with a InlinePro headgasket
until they melt away...dosnt meen his stock CAST pistons can survive, and they wont for long..

maybe you just need a new tuner.
So a b18c1 + gasket + garett T60-1 = High 11's ?
HEY OLD DIRTY BASTARD,
i know it takes the right **** to go with it. I was hoping you would realize i would also include that automatically. But hey im pretty sure it should make for a good set up. THANX HONDA TECH
