Default Inline pump

Hey guys. Well about to do the install on the GSR...

Question: Do I really need to install the inline pump? Its loud as hell, and since im only going to run 5-7 PSI with a 12:1 FMU...is it really necessary? Ive heard debates of the inline pump not working properly if the intank pump is left in the tank...who knows what the validity of this is...on my old LS i had both pumps, and the second one WAILED like a banshee...it literally drowned out conversation, but it worked to keep my rich under boost....any suggestions?

Are you suggesting running the FMU with no auxiliary fuel pump? That is a sure fire way to break something The stock pump is good at creating a max of about 50psi of pressure... so you are good to about 1psi of boost there.

my inline drove me insane when i had it mounted to the firewall but then i moved it to the strut tower on the passanger side with a bracket that was lined with rubber and i can hardly notice its whine now.. my friends large intank pump sounds louder than it..
