worth every penny you spend. I have one in my ITR now. as long as you have the fuel for it you can run about a bar daily on 93 octane. I have run 11 to 15psi daily for over a year with a mish mash fuel system(runnin very rich) with no problems yet(knock on wood). I have the head gasket and block gaurd from them. the 3mm Head gasket drops compression about a point. http://www.inlinepro.com

you dont need the gasket to run 8psi. yes its nice so you can run more boost, but its not needed. i have run 11-12psi on stock bottom end , stock compression for a while, with no probs. do what you wish, but its far from needed

Thicker headgaskets are not needed. Having said that it heavily depends on the condition of the stock block. Lowering the compression will allow you to increase the durability out of the stock engine by placing less thermal loading, and in turn less mechanical stress on the stock components. Even with proper tuning a stock block life at 300whp will only be 20-25,000 miles tops. The headgasket with proper tuning will allow you squeeze more miles out of the engine before the stock ringlands let loose. Its ashame that cometic stopped making their 0.076" gasket, it dropped compression by a whole point and was around 100.00 or so. The inline pro headgasket is very expensive for what it is IMO.

yea it is pretty pricey. Cometic does make a .43 though. not as much , but will still drop it a bit. and only $100 direct from them . Cant beat it.

Good to hear. I planned on running a thicker headasket to lower my cmpression as well but if Boosted-Hybrid says I don't need one then----hell, I'll say that 100+ dollars for the rebuild.

Two OEM gaskets stacked together=poor sealing. A friend thought he could get away with this, and it never sealed correctly. You can however reuse the inline pro gaskets, just take apart the two other plys on the OEM one and rerivet them to the thick middle part of the inline pro.
Also with thicker headgasket make sure you apply 2-3 light coats of copper seal, it makes all the difference in the world.
