Default Injector's Question

What is an ideal injector size to get for a stock '95 GSR motor with a Garrett 57trim turbo? They're stock right now.
I'm pushing 7lbs boost. 300? 680? 1000?
It has a Vortech FMU. Any other info you'd need to help me just let me know. Thanks in advance.

Well I haven't dyno'd it. It's in the shop getting the driver side intercooler piping finished, and the 3" mandrel bent exhaust welded. It will be tuned with s300 shortly after. It has a/c and i'm hoping for 280+ or so people have told me...

get some 750's and ditch the FMU. then u have injectors with room to grow if you want more power later on down the road.

7psi and an FMU...you're not hitting 280whp unless you're on a Dynopack.

Ditch that POS FMU and get a real EMS. Then snag some 550cc injectors and a boost controller. Tune on 10-11psi (or whatever the stock map will handle) and have fun.

Thanks guys, especially bigbadboy.

I don't want to up the boost anymore as it's a daily driver. Maybe in the long run if I need to rebuild my bottom end. I do have a voodoo manual boost controller however. It may see 9lbs one day.

I drive my GSR daily on a turbo approximately the same size as a 57 trim. I run it at about 10.8psi without any problems. All summer at 315whp w/ no problems....last summer at 275whp and again no problems. With a good tune, you'd be surprised what kind of abuse a stock GSR can handle.

just remember those are estimates. everything depends on set up and the efficiency of your motor.

haha you may say u'll almost never hit 9 but i know in like a week or 2 of boosting your going to set it at 9 for DD 9 will be perfectly fine for a DD. i started off with 4psi on my LS DD and my high was 10 but that quickly changed lol. now i'm at 15 psi DD on an stock LS street tuned by me. get tuned for 15 that way when you decided to turn it up you won't have to re-tune. boost is fun and addicting so welcome to the club
