Injector sizing?
After talking to several people locally I'm getting really confuzed on what size injectors I need.
According the AEM's manual off from the standalone, I'm supposed to use the following equation:
<BLOCKQUOTE>code:<HR><PRE>
(POWER x BSFC) x (1+Safety Margin)/Number of Injectors = pounds/hour
</PRE><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Around the HP of 412 hp (or around 350whp) I wind up with around 74 pounds/hour injectors! Obviously I don't think I will hit 350whp on pump gas, but the goal is to get around 300whp - 320whp daily driven. I'm using a safety margin of 15%, and a bfc of around .625 - .68 (as per AEM manual).
Now whats wierd is that some people here claim that 550cc's should be enough for me, or 52 pounds/hour injectors. Obviously I don't wanna blow my engine up by fuel starvation. So let me know guys, 550's or 750's on a b18c1 with 9:1 cr + standalone.
I'm also assuming with the 750's I will still get good gas milage as long as i lean it out in say 5th gear for daily driving? Again I'm getting a lot of, "With 750's your car will eat up so much gas" type of ****... I was under the impression a lot of people are still able to hit 300whp and still achieve decent gas milage during regular driving, 20-30mpg. So hopefully someone can help me clear this up as well.
Thanks for all your help!

If you setup your standalone to keep the air/fuel ratio close to stock when not in boost, you will have GREAT gas mileage. This is assuming that you stay out of boost for most of the driving
If your goals are high, you might as well get the 750's. You should be able to tune them down for a good idle, and decent gas mileage.

I would get the 72 lb/hr (750 cc/min) injectors for your goals. I think you will exceed or come very close to the 550 cc injectors capabilities on a B18C @ 320 whp. Maybe look into some Greddy 660 cc/min injectors as well.
