injector question

Default injector question

i just got a set of pt 880cc injectors and one of my friends said that he thinks i need to run a risistor box with them. is that true or can i just throw them in and go. a nother qestion is, i'm running the s300 and i have read that the softwear has problem with biger injectors. is that still the case and do i have to dosomthing to correctt it?

depends if your injectors are saturated or if they are peak and hold....saturated injectors u dont need a resistor box but peak and holds u do...i think most bigger injectors are peak and holds but u need to find out which of the 2 it is

i havent seen anything over 750 that arent p&h. easiest way to tell is if they are rc is the pn. sl are saturated, pl are peak and hold......if you still cant tell, ohm them. p&h net a 2-3ohm resistence, sats net a 12-13 ohm resistence.

Just put a fluke on em' and check the resistance. Resistance = impedance (well, not quite, but close enough in this case).

PT 880s are Low Imp

If your car doesnt have a resistor box, you need to add one or you will fry the drivers in your ECU

coo that's just what i needed to know. i just wired up my resistor box and started it it ran perfect. thanks for the info, spock
