I opened my hood tonight, and almost immidately after, fuel started spraying everywhere. I looked closer (after I turned the car off) and noticed that the O-Ring that fits into my AEM fuel rail was ripped and hanging out.

I had a vaccuum leak with my DSM 450cc's, because they weren't pushed down into the Injector seal on the intake manifold enough. I guess this did not leave enough injector in the fuel rail, because the fuel rail will bottom out against the intake manifold before clamping down hard on the injector.

I know that in some cases there are plastic "spacers" that go in between the intake manifold and the injector seal, but I don't recall my stock GSR having those. I also have a Venom Intake manifold.

Anyone know what the part # is for the injector spacer, or if it is even supposed to be there?

bump...i got a ripped injector o ring also im going to kragen or napa tomarrow tho see if they gots any..... i think all cars have the same size../ maybe i was hearing cheet

 

i tore the ones on the top of the injector on my RC's sent them an e-mail and they sent me out some more.

 

i tore the ones on the injectors going into the Fuel rail... I just went to a hardware shop and bought ones that were closest to the same size.. they work FINE.. no leaking at all.

 

Yea, but my problem is because the injector itself does not sit far enough up into the fuel rail. I ordred some spacers from len, the ones that are meant for the LS intake manifold, they should be here tomorrow. I'll see how that works out. Jus sux I can't drive my car now. . .

 

Got the spacers, installed em and everything works alright, for now. . .
