Injector o-ring issue
Alright, I picked up some injectors, they have this on the side of them.
I was told these are Bosch style injectors, 310cc. I picked up an Edelbrock Pro Flo fuel rail that is specifically for OBD1 Bosch Style injectors.
But I am unsure of what o-rings to run. I was told the DSM kit should work, as you see in the picture, what o-ring should I run up top and on the bottom?? I tried to put the smaller in diameter one up top, in the rail, it makes it tight, but I am unsure if the seal is tight. As for the bottom, I have a JRSC, and the injectors dont fit thru the opening in the intake runners.
I am sure the injectors are supposed to slide past the bottom of the intake runner??
I havent taken anything apart yet, I just want to have all my issued worked out before I get to them. This injector problem has been worrying me since I got the injectors.
What should I do. Please help.

Re: Injector o-ring issue
Yes, as these people habe stated... its only for a style of injector.... almost every injector is modeled on Bosch's general design.. so if these are bigger than OEM Honda units then no matter what rail you use, it will have to be modified.
Part number you have is D1720B-01D034B
The injectors are 315cc Lucas injectors.. 12ohms, ev1 style connector. Split fountain discharge
And THEY ARE NOT FOR A HONDA RAIL. I just looked it up..
This is the part number you need.. D1720B-01D034-325B
You can clearly see the difference in the rail side of the injector, its been cut down to fit our smaller rails.
So what you have won't won't unless you have your existing rail modified. No shelf b/d/h series rail will fit them.. or sell them and take it as lesson learned

Re: Injector o-ring issue
My stock rail is on my DD. I am gunshy to start taking stuff apart and not have a car to drive.
So what injectors do I NEED to get to work in my Bosch style fuel rail?
Muckman, I appreciate your input, thanks again!!!

You need an Bosch style injector to fit your Bosch style rail.
Something in an EV14 body. Like these. Notice the adapter top hat converts between 14mm and 11mm.

Re: Injector o-ring issue
Sweet thanks. So the injectors I have, are NOT Bosch style like Google'n the part number says. Guess I am going to have to pull my rail and test fit these injectors. Budget JRSC built. lol

Re: Injector o-ring issue
they are bosch style, you have the wrong part number, look at my quoted post above. you'll see the part number you need
different part numbers have different diameter rail ends and manifold ends, the actual working parts of the injector are the same size and they all share they same overall body size (the big part)
injectors are universal to a point, assuming you have the right diameter rail and such
what you have wont work unless you bore out the rail as well as the intake manifold where the injector passes through

Well guess my 310cc's are up for sale. I need the correct ones for my JRSC/Edelbrock fuel rail. The larger inlet, smaller outlet ones, correct???

Re: Injector o-ring issue
They are new EV14's, much like what Wantboost posted from fiveomotorsports. 14mm tops and Honda size at the outlet. The seller is going to send me pics of the injector in a rail/jrsc manifold. HiProfile is his SN on here.

Re: Injector o-ring issue
That fuel rail should show about 13.5-13.9mm ID. The o-rings on "14mm" injectors is a bit over 14mm. That picture is the 14mm injectors I turn down to Honda-size 11mm.
I've already had people run them in OEM 14mm rails for GM's, Fords, K20's, and a custom Mazda motor, so they will fit as well as any other 14mm injector will. They will look like longer Injector Dynamics injectors w/o the tophats.

Re: Injector o-ring issue
Well if these 14mm EV14 370cc's will work, it is what I should go with, correct??? The injectors I have now, the ones posted above, do not fit thru the inlet opening on the JRSC.
