Im having performance issues with NGK BKR7E's...

Alright guys I just gave my car a tune up with brand new cap, rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs. aswell as changed all my fluids.
About 2 days ago I purchased some NGK BKR7E's because after extensive research ive read that most people recommended them for a boosted B series motors. so I gapped them between .30-.32 and threw them in and took my car for a spin around the block and I instantly noticed a difference in performance, the car felt sluggish and would lag in between shifts aswell as my blowoff valve sounded alot quiter for some reason.
So today I decided to switch them back out for my stock plugs PFR6G-13 the ones with 100,000 miles on them and the difference was night and day, the car definatly performed much better than the BKR7E's it pulled stronger and the lag in between shifts was gone. Decided to pickup some brand new OEM replacement spark plugs PFR6G-13 from my local Acura dealer and some Honda MTF. I was shocked to see that they charged $20 PER PLUG ! and decided not to get them and took a trip to my local Kragen and see if it was a lil cheaper there which it wasnt
Anyone else have issues with your BKR7E's ? maybe im gapping them wrong ? Ive tried .30, .32, .35 with no luck.

what kind of car do you drive? It really depends on the car becuase the bkr7e is reccomended for boosted b series vtec motors. It might be too cold for sohc motors or ls motors. Not too sure though.

Funny you posted this...when i first got all my stuff installed and started the car up i was on some shitty ac delco plugs, car started and idled fine, Next day i replaced them with bkr7e's and the car barely starts, and idles like ****...maybe i'll throw the ac delco's back in and see what happens.
I have the same problem with my car now that's boosted. I've switched to the NGK BKR5E-11 plugs (which are the same heatrange as stock ones) and gap them to 0.33. Seems to work great w/ my measly 6.5 lb of boost.
BTW, my car isn't tuned yet, and with the BKR7E's my car runs too rich and throws a CEL.

It could be that 7's are too cold of a plug for some cars. But i find it hard to believe they would foul just like that. Try the 6 heat range plug and you'll see. MY experience with spark plugs is that if it works for this guy, doesn't mean it will work for yours, even if the setup is idential. If you find something that works, stick with it.

It seriously made that much of a difference? My car is untuned too (hondata basemap) and ive been losing sleep the last few days wondering why the first time i started it it ran fine, then i threw in some bkr7e's and it runs SO rich, just dumps black smoke. Could the plugs really do that? I changed nothing else in my setup, haven't even driven the car yet.

I had an issue with the first time I used them as well. The car was behaving the same way as described in the first post I bought some zex plugs and ran them for a while.....
Gave the ngk's another try about 6months ago and they worked great and still run fine I dunno what the deal was with that first set I got, but didnt changed anything even the same gap.

Maybe the plug is mis-firing. I've just bought a set though, will see how it goes!

The plugs came today. I bought the BKR7EIX-11, regaped at .035". It feels really crisp at wot, but it bogs at part throttle below 3000rpm. Maybe after some miles, it'll get better or something.
