I'm bored, how's this sound?
K so i've got this thing with the air force comin up where i'll be gone and car-less for about 6 months. this will be very good 'cause it'll put plenty of $$ in the bank, lots of which will be available for executing my plans. let me know what you folks think. (btw...p/s is already gone, and a/c will be going the way of the dumpster as well). of course suspension, bodywork (fixin some dents) and other things are planned as well, but they aren't FI related (bodywork and repaint is being done for cost of parts and paint.....which rules!). b18c massaged as follows:
Block:
GE Sleeves (84.5mm)
Pauter rods
ACL bearings
Full balance
Endyn pistons
Head:
Alaniz (may still go DPR, still waiting to hear back) competition work
Ferrea .5mm oversize valves
Portflow/ITR valvespring combo
***Portflow retainers, TiN coated (see http://www.brycoat.com for more info)
Stock GSR cams
Some brand of 6-bolt cam gears
Geoff's kit (this has remained the one constant over the last few months)
Victor X manifold
Erick's racing TB
Hondata s200 with the goodies
MSD Injectors (still not sure if i should go 96 lb/hr or if 72's will be okay...same price, so i'm leaning toward the larger @ lower duty cycle just to be safe)
yeah so tell me what's bad if anything is, and i'll put it on the list to be changed. the full-race kit is set in stone. you won't sway me on it. i'm willing to listen to the rest.
***the titanium nitride coating has been brought to my attention by a VERY trusted friend with plenty of experience in engine building; currently his daily-driven b18c5-powered gen 2 integra is at 204 whp on pump gas without extensive tuning. he says that the coating nearly doubles a titanium retainer's rockwell hardness rating, helping to alleviate the galling problems associated with them. i think for 60 bucks a set it's definitely cheap insurance.
