Ignition setups?

Ignition setups?What are you using?
Wanted to know what you guys withhigh boost are using as far as ignition?I was told the oem stuff is good to around three hundred whp but I like to play it safe and just upgrade since it seems stupid to me to blow 4000 dollars on a simple 250 dollar upgrade?

That is a very variable question, which is why you didn't get a specific answer.
Mostly it depends on the technology the car is already equipped with.
The majority of Honda owners can just gap the plugs down, go a step colder on the heat range, retard the dizzy a few degrees and call it a day. If that is not good enough, though, you can easily go with a MSD Digital SCI and Blaster coil and have all the spark energy you will ever need. If you are going to spend the bucks, get something with boost-dependant ignition retard functions.
If however you have a 1.7, the MSD DIS-4 is a great way to go. MSD even makes a model with boost retard AND a extra injector controller built in.

I know that it was a pretty general question but it seems to me that here on h-t people sometimes seem to get really good results from not your everyday setups so I just pretty much wanted to here about all the different setups everyone is using? You know anything from stock to coil on plug conversion. Sorry about it being such a generic question (no sarcasm intended)

You really need a multi coil ecu in order for it to be of any use..
