Default IGNITION RETARD QUESTION


I am wondering if its safe to retard my ignition timing when using an MSD 6AL. I do not have MSD BTM, but will be retarding the distributor mechanically. I cant see how this wold cause a problem but thought i'd check...

wont cause a problem..

when i was running nitrous i did it physically at the dizzy to retard 2 degrees.

is it best to do it via a MSD BTM?

Im currently looking to chip my stock ECU and heard i can re write the new ROM to have timing retard when the engine see's boost? thats pretty cool, is it true? thanks
