Nope....i mean completely pull the ignitor out of the distributor...if you remove the ignitor completely you will suddenly find things like your stock tach dont work without some extra goodies.

There is another option to bypass the ICM but it requires building a more robust ICM and runs external to the distributor. Ill see if i can dig up that circuit.

im currently in the process of doing a bulk purchase of the parts needed and having pcb's made to build kits.

this is courtesy of Matt, however you are still running an ICM so you are not bypassing it technically as with an M&W setup

Technically speaking you are still running an ICM so you can either take time and spend money to build this setup or do it right and get a M&W setup...

And lets make this clear the Circuit came from Matt (Dax) not you!

And to get back to this post, this setup will work just fine, the MSD tach output will drive the oem tach
