na we worked on some of it to get it driveable. I was trying to get to the dyno soon , but lack of funds for a while has changed that scenario. So i was trying to drive it in the mean time. Adam did do a great job and spent alot of his time on it . i just didnt know if i should consider the shutting off as part of the tune or look into something else also. I just didnt want someone to spend more time with it tuning if there was something else wrong with it. i wanna make sure its all mechanically sound so i dont waste the tuners time and my money since i have so very little of it.

Do you think it would be wise for me to put it back in open loop Adam? i know we discussed that before you left that day?

This sounds an awful lot like the problem that I'm having. Accept I was able to stop it from turning off by turning up the idle, but as far as turning on the car in the morning sometimes it starts fine, but many times I have to give it some gas to bring the idle up then it idles fine. I know exactly what you mean when your at an intersection, and the car shuts off. Or in my case in a parking lot with a bunch of friends, I go to get in my car and it struggles to start. It's more embarrassing then anything...

My problem all started when my car over heater about 1 year, and a half ago. To this day I haven't been able to correct the problem. It doesn't seem to be as bad as yours, but the issues are the same. The thing that bugs me is that my bottom end has been rebuilt, I have a different head, ECU... pretty much everything has changed and it still has the same issue. Maybe I have a bad sensor that's causing the problem. This just really bugs the **** out of me, and I'm ready to call it quits!

Hey isn't this the car that was posted for sale on ebay? Sorry for the long email. I don't mean to be a thread stealer. Just had to vent a little. I know exactly what your going through.

P.S. I think it's mechanical. I don't believe it's a tunning issue.

Messing with your IACV Duty Cycle and Timing at Idle in the Hondata make a difference...also get that **** in closed loop.

Dont put it into closed loop until you are finished tuning the vehicle.

Correct, but the car will run a helluva lot better in closed loop if hes not gonna finish tuning for awhile.
