also i think during my engine rebuild i fried my air intake sensor, because when its pluged up it reads 113deg.... and when i unplug it i get a error sayin the sensor is't there.. as you would expect...

does your idle lumpy ? I dunno if CRX has a fast idle or Idle air control valve...but it should..and most located on the back of the intake manifold...

if your idle is lumpy, try to tap the IAC or the fdast idle thermo valve with an end of a ratchet...the valve works based on a sticky roller with vac comes on one end and out to the other...sometimes with carbon build up , it get sticky..and tapping it would help at times....also, take the valve out and clean the screen that goes to the IM..

hey stan ! thanks for your advice,,, my car is a del sol.. but out here in australia we call em "crx's"
but yeah the valve was working fine before we riped the engine out, dalrton sleeved it.. je's / eagles etc.. its all fully built hoping to run 28psi... im thinking it could also be due to the JG intake mainfold giving it to much vacume.
yes the idle is lumpy, but i was going to try and tune the lumpyness out... or hondata suggests increasing the IAC value, within romeditior.. which i hav't done yet.. 1st of all i wanted to get the value working...

but yeah ill take out the valve clean it. and give it another go...

thanks !

Regards James
