wat is an idle control valve and why would i be throwing that code?

Idle control valve is what controls the idle on your car... it is located on the back of your intake manifold. try taking it off and cleaning it out with some carb clean or parts cleaner let it dry and put it back on then disconnect your neg terminal on your battery and leave off for a few minutes to reset your computer then try starting it back up let it idle and see if that fixes your problem.... good luck
