Default idea how to fix ssautochrome boost creep... maybe...

Okay I'm sure all or most of you have seen the ssautochrome mani so im not going to post a pic b.c i am lazy. Since the exhaust gas on the ss mani makes a 270 degree turbo to exit to the wastegate, it creates boost creep. I have an idea that may fix that problem.

Step 1: bolt or weld block off plate onto WG flange on mani.

Step 2: make one of these...

how well would this work? i really don't understand how boost creep happens but this eliminates the 270 degree angle down to a 90 like most mani's have the WG positioned, which seems to eliminate the problem.

someone enlighten me please..

Seems like if you blocked off the wastegate flange with a plate, then made some sort of adapter as shown in your drawing then it would work. However, thinkg about the position of the turbo after this adapter would be installed. Would it create any problems? You'd probably have to get a different downpipe made as it would probably have low ground clearance.

Would it cause the turbo to spool later?

just spend the extra money on a manifold that doesn't crack and dosn't need to be braced, and don't waste cash on a pos

that works 2

An adapter that repositions the turbo like that might cause fitment issues as well as making the oil return much more difficult. That's at least 2" lower than the original location.

thats true but that mani sits the turbo higher than say a tinker/full-race/toyosupr ram horn style equal length. i guess ill just have to try it.

The Turbosmart E-Boost has the ability to eliminate boost creep. The E-Boost allows the user to control when the wastegate opens, so you can tune out creep.

This feature also allows you to gain power and torque mid-range since you can keep the w/g closed until you want it to open

The angle of the tube should not be causing creep.. It could be the hole needs ported or a bad wastegate.. Are you running the tial? With proper support of the turbo and the wastegat there is no reason the manifold will not work great.. I know several people with no problems with them. You need to securely fasten the turbo to the block so the header is not taking all the weight. It also eliminates vibration which is what tends to kill them..
