IC piping.
I was wondering that myself. I've even seen people run different diameters on both ends. 2" on one side (can't remember which) and 2.5" on the other. Not sure what the theory is behind that though. I should see the car this weekend so I'll ask the guy.
Well, you'll probably have a lower pressure drop across the system, but as to how it will effect cooling its not as easy to say. I'm guessing the heat transfer will be a little worse, but I may be wrong. It depends on your specific flow conidtions and geometries.
I think this is a Good Topic!!!! I'm wondering also, I have a 2" OD piping on mine (custom) and I'm getting a main mandrel bend for my custom piping....looking forward to 2-1/4" is it better?
dudes the decision to go 2.5 or whatever is actually a relationship to your turbo pressure / cfm that it flows and the rest of your car, if your tb already has probs handling 2.25" - 2.5 will just be another obstacle, your will gain cfm of airflow but loose some pressure in their - I would say just for an idea that the IC pipes on a t3 or smaller should not be increased, you will hella lag if you try.
it all depends on ur setup and if u need it or not... when i get my car done... the turbo i have has a 2.5" outlet, ic has 2.5 in and 3" out, tb will be 70mm which is also 3"... so basically there will be more room for flow... on the drag kits or rev-hard... bigger piping isnt really called for
I posted this a long time ago. There is no way you could have found this in the search so I'll post it: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=52391
