IC endtank questions-->

IC endtank questions-->
basically I want to go from this(OEM 1g Eclipse sidemount):
to this, or...
this(how I really want it!!).
what would be the best method?? buy an identical IC and re-weld the endtank and flip the pipe around so it looks like pic #3 or simply cut off the pipe I don't want(the one circled in RED in pic one) weld the hole shut and then put a new hole in the top of the end tank and re-weld the pipe up there(so it looks pretty much like pic #3). any ideas would be appreciated

both of your suggestions would work. you have to then decide if you want it to look pretty or if you dont mind a big weld spot from the hole your going to cover
