IAT sensor
Where should the IAT sensor on a B16A2 be located?
right now i have it on the intake piping right before the throttle body like it would be if the car was stock
should i move it to the piping between the air filter and the turbo or leave it where it is?

I would put it in the # 2 runner where it normally is or in the plenum of the manifold. As long as its in the airflow you will be alright. What you did is actually an easy way to richen the motor up. Its a common trick with the MR2, some even use resisters on the IAT to get more fuel.

Putting it in the charge piping is the most accurate place since it allows the ECU to see the true air temp and adjust fuel accordingly.
Most kits will often trick the ECU by playing with the IAT in order to make the car run richer (ie, safer).

So put it back where it came from huh? Where on the piping do you think is the best (close to the TB like the original local)?
i put mine in the exact place the stock on was, just measure it up
tell us how you went about installing it back into your new piping?
line up the hole and drill
then went to home depot got some rubber grommets
then shoved the sensor in
mine isn't hook up and i left it dangling there but i put some fiberglass cloth around the sensor so it will not sense the hot temp. under the hood.
I don't think it is a good idea to hide air temp changes from the ECU. You can manipulate the IAT voltage by installing an inline resistor. That will cause the ECU to think that it is colder than it really is, but at least the ECU can still do temp correction.

It also can't take into account true air temp, so it cannot pull fuel out when the charge gets hot. This will usually make your car run insanely rich.
