Default i was thinking about this.. fuel setup

I am running this similar setup on race car but i was wondering why it wouldnt work with a honda ecu..

Let me see if i can explain.... First off what you can do is wire in 8 injector setup on the jg manifold for a turbo honda running a stock ecu.

Say you have two sets of 310cc injectors

Now you wire the the positive for the extra injectors just by tapping the signal for the stock injector. Now for theground wire on the injector you can wire it to hobbs pressure switch or msd rpm switch. That will kick on when boost level is hit or rpm say 6psi or so. I assume that this should work fine and the setup should work as long as you keep the boost below a certian level so the map wont get tripped up.

Perhaps I misunderstand, but, there are a few problems with this. Most injectors use a PWM signal, and I'm not sure how they respond to a lock on (although, I can guess. Full open . If the injector only has two states, 0% and 100%, then you will be running excessively rich at low boost levels and possibly lean at high boost levels. Or just stupid rich across the board. And I suspect most injectors may not like operating at 100% duty for extended periods, but that is just a hunch.

A better solution is something like the mf2, or a custom job, that reads the MAP sensor and then has another fuel map to control the additional injectors. But, unless you're talking about foolish boost levels, the AFC hack is a work of art. Just install bigger injectors.

Sounds interesting Viren. My question is, how would the ecu react to a sudden change in impendace (as the secondaries come online)? I suppose you could throw in a dual pole relay with a resitor to simulate the resitance of the secondaries while they are offline, but you'll most likely still have an electrical hicup at the switchover.

i was talking to doug and he also stated you could use the vtec singal to kick on the seconadaires at high boost levels.

Will the hobbs pressure switch adjust pulse of the injectors accordingly with boost.

not really but i think on hondata setup you can adjust the pulse width of all 8 injectors depending on how you tune it off vtec. i would assume that can also be done using a safc to adjust the pulse width on the injector so you dont go full rich
