Default i THINK i may have found the culprit!

just wanted to update evreyone as to how my problem is coming along..
not like anybody give a ****

problem: 98 prelude..boosted w/ f-max kit and tuned..@ 5psi
only making 180whp 160 wtrq w/ stock exhuast, deltagate w/ 7psi spring..but only maxing out at 5psi

possible culprit: exhaust manifold bottom bolts were a little loose...so i tightened them as best i could...and i finially went past 5 psi...i made it up to 5.75psi - 6psi

but it only goes up that far around 6000rpm to redline..

anything before is just 5 psi..

do you guys think that it is my exhaust manifold (turbonetics log)

if so...how the fawk am i supposed to tighten it i used a wrench that has ratchet action and a lever for some torque...but i can't tighten those bottom suckers any more...

FYI the top bolts are showing 3 threads each and the bottoms are showing 1 thread each...

take the manifold off, retighten, put manifold back on.

its the only way to really do it properly on a lot of manifolds...

ummmm? i am confused...take manifold off and then retighten what..?? before putting manifold back on??

i am talking about manifold to engine block....
not turbo to manifold or wastegate to manifold

and what tools are you guys using to tighten the manifold to engine block

what he means is loosen ALL the screws so manifold wobbles, then torque them down to spec in the right order. Do it in the right order so that the manifold is not tightened on one side, and the other is alittle off.
Which is what probably happened to you....

he meant loosen all the manifold bolts, pull the manifold off, put it back on, and retighten it in the factory order... which i believe is from the center out...

right

do you think this is the reason for my boost to go up...if so why does it boost 6 psi past 6000rpm and 5 psi below 6000rpm???

my motor and turbo should be able to reach full spool at around 4700
