UPS
I've gotten so many things that I swear they played soccer with the package first.
Once there was no recognizable piece of a box left.

HELL NO!!! I have had more problem with USPS over any other company.
I lost over 600$ because of USPS
Those of you complaining about paying for 2 day shipping and not getting it in 2 days should be calling in and getting your full shipping cost refunded. This goes for UPS AND FedEx, both will refund your money.
If I had a choice I would say FedEx is the most reliable company I have dealt with. UPS seems to always damage the package somehow. Although, both companies have done me well on insuarence claims. USPS on the other hand...

True story and I work for ups
I used to work for Fed Ex and UPS. To me Fed Ex was more efficient, and had better customer service. ALso, remember both companys ship millions of packages in retarded time frames. I remember working overnight at fed ex to deliver human parts within like hours to different parts of the country. **** it bound to happen with millions of packages going through their hands. Insurance is good to have
I think it depends more on the weight of the package. I've had many heavy packages beat to hell, regardless of size. I've also had giant, light packages look like they were never touched. As mentioned, it really depends on the actual shipping or receiving hub doing the package handling.
OK, i've worked for UPS for 6 years now, i've seen almost everything. I really take offense when i hear people talk smack about UPS and even FEDEX even though they are our biggest competitor. At least 70% of damaged or late deliveries (that i've encountered) are because of the shipper(customer). But just like any fortune 500 company, **** happens. thats why UPS and FEDEX have guarantees.
Wrong addresses, wrong zip codes, re using boxes and not removing the old label from the last shipment, one strip of damn tape on a package w/ goods w/ barely any stuffing inside. I know businesses are busy shipping out goods to their customers, people rush **** out, you think majority of packages are packaged correctly? If you ship something small in a bigger box, reinforce the inside, please. Come on guys, UPS and FEDEX go through a lot of volume daily, we have big conveyor systems, jams occur, packages get smashed in the process. **** happens even before it gets to anyones hands, you don't think we try to prevent it? Again, thats why UPS and FEDEX have guarantees.
But on the other side yes a lot of bullshit happens, When i see an employee miss handle a package, i don't turn away and pretend i didn't see anything. I try my best to make sure every package that enters our operation is taken care of. The shift i work for processes 90k packages in a 5-6 hour span, not all will survive, but 95% do. And UPS works around the clock, thats a lot of volume daily.

Over the past month i have ordered 3 things and each shipment was screwed up. First fedex loses the thing i ordered so the company had to send another one. Next UPS instead of getting me my part in 2days like i ordered it got there in a week. The next week i ordered something else and again ups got it there in a week rather than 2 days like they were suppost to. </TD></TR></TABLE>

You're in denial, lol. Why should you take offense at the facts? I take offense when I receive a $500+ package that looks like it was intentionally damaged by kids.
None of the smashed packages I received through UPS were the fault of the shipper. "This side up" and "Fragile" labels have no effect on UPS employees. In fact, it seems to have the opposite effect. I've witnessed a UPS driver stuff a package into the truck on its side that clearly was marked so that this wouldn't happen. This was after it fell off of the dolly and he just flipped it a couple more times to move it.
