Default i got some crazy oil pressure, needs info

i got some crazy oil pressure at idle when cold its at 80psi when it warms up its at 50-60psi @800rpms at idle if i tap the gas it shots up to 80-90psi by 3grand and if i run the car its go's to like 120-130psi and holds

but the thing is my turbine seal in the turbo has blown and was purring oil in to my down pipe

have my turbo just gone bad or has the oil psi did it ?

the reason why my oil pressure is so high is because i took my blanced shafts out and plugged about 8 oil holes that went to them + h23's are common for spinning main bearing and from oil starvation on the #3 main with oil psi that good i don't think it can happen now

and i was told all turbo DSM run oil pressure that high?

WOW that is not right...

i mean on my built engine, i get about 100 psi cold, but after warm its about 50-60 at 1000rpm, and only peaks at 80psi at 3000rpm when the oilpump bypass opens....

im not sure about h23's but i thought all honda oilpumps had bypass's so they didnt have oil pressure that high....

also that high of oil pressure will blow turbo seals, turbo seals really only should see about 10psi at the most....some turbos run restrictors on the oil inlet, check it out...do a search there was a thread all about it just about a week ago....Tinker made his own and it solved his oil burning problem, but then he blew up the motor, hahah...

check it out...something doesnt sound right

way to much pressure I'm surprised you didn't toss the oil filter.Better find a way to get that under control.

ok i think its gotten confused, theres 2 bypasses that i know of in honda oil pumps,

1 bypasses the oil pump pickup itself so that you dont starve the motor of oil.
2 is a spring bypass that bleeds pressure back to the pan, because we all KNOW to much oil pressure can blow seals. even on NA motors,

the bypass im taling about is the one that bleeds back to the pan, if you want to check it out its the alen bolt on the snout that comes off most honda oil pumps, theres a spring in there, thats where the bypass is.

also when the motor was stock i put an oil pressure gauge on it, and watched the oil pressure, it does the same thing just at later rpm, i dont beleive that honda decided to engineer something that pumps dirty oil into the motor at a certain rpm or oil pressure.

My bad, thought you ment the one in the filter.I didn't mean it was designed to happen at certain rpm you said it bypassed at 3000rpm on your motor thats where I got it.btw all motors have bypasses in the filter to prevent oil starvation from cloged filters, unfiltered is always better than no oil.Sorry I misunderstood what you ment.

its ok, i just wanted to make sure everything was clear about what i was talking about....yeah i know about that bypass....but i was speaking about the other one, and i wasnt exactly clear in how the bypass was working i only gave an RPM as an example to when it happened.

so its partly my fault, i made it to simple
